Restored from an ancient monastery, this luxury Venetian hotel is set within a natural oasis of peace, on a 4-acre centuries-old park on San Clemente Island, in front of San Marco.

A free shuttle boat service runs every 20 minutes from San Marco stop in the centre to the Hotel and back, until 01:00 every night. After 01:00 the service is available on request.

The facilities and activities offered are designed to relax and pamper guests, they include: a freshwater outdoor pool, providing a respite for you to enjoy the warm summer; 2 tennis courts; and an executive golf course. The beauty and wellness club, La Perla della Laguna, will regenerate and pamper you with aromatherapy treatments, massages and a variety of aesthetic programs, including a steam room, sauna and exercise room.

Most museums and attractions can be easily reached either by foot or vaporetto. This illustrious city, basking in the spotlight of international cinema, is also home to famous ateliers and art houses, making it an ideal destination for luxury shopping.

Peaceful location. Superb service. Beautiful hotel

Rooms were good but could have been better equipment ie: british tv channels, coffee making facilties, better provision of music apaprt from the tv - i-Pod dock. Water pressure was not very good for the shower we had to ask them to look at this

the buffet breakfast was good with options I like such as yoghurt and fresh fruit. I would have also liked whole grain toast or bread but to be fair I didn't see it at any hotel I stayed at in Italy. The breakfast and service was much better than at the Grand Hotel in Siena during the same visit to Italy. Beautiful linen sheets on bed. They gave me the water (lagoon) view which I requested.

We had issues with: 1. blocked bathroom sink drain., 2. shower was not working, 3. no sound on CNN network, no newspaper delivered which I would expect in a 5* hotel.

It was on its own Island out of the way from the busy streets of Venice, so a quiet retreat when we wanted it. The hotel is huge and the bedrooms were awesome (but then we did stay in a suite) as it was hour honeymoon. Boat trip from hotel to St Marks every 20 mins. was a nice touch. Would recommend to anyone for example as a honeymoon location or anniversary.

The staff politeness, friendliness and attentiveness, the beautiful setting, the quality of the finishes,fittings and fixtures , the boat access to San Marco.

Lack of internet access in the rooms. The Maschere Restaurant is not quite sure what it should be..either a specialty restaurant or a more casual restaurant. F+b ptobably should be reworked towards an al freco bistro all day dining with a slightly lower price point. The price structure did not relate to the service and food quality.

This has to be one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. This combined with the beauty of Venice means that we will certainly be returning. Everything about the hotel was first rate, although not cheap you get what you pay for.
